Cisco Connects Mexican ICT Training Centres

Cisco has joined forces with Mexico's Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon to deploy 32 TelePresence SX80 codecs and WebEx video-conferencing systems in the country’s Punto Mexico Conectado (PMC) network of digital training centres.

Cisco said its systems would support the services offered by the university to establish the internet connection between the PMC sites. In addition, three PMCs will host a Cisco Networking Academy and have an IoT/IoE Innovation Lab to develop talent and promote innovation in the country.

Networking Academy courses will also be available to the 32 sites supported by Cisco's digital inclusion partner America Digital.

Punto Mexico Conectado is a national network of community centres for digital education and training. There are 32 sites, one in each state of the country, with participants given access to new technologies with a view to starting innovative projects.
